Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is an Hollywood writer and actress whose talent has earned the attention of critics and recognition. Sagittarius. Born at the age of 3 in North Carolina December 3, 1960. She's among the three children of Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a parachutist. She's English as well as Scottish descent. Moore struggled because her family was constantly shifting due to her father's employment. Moore was in the class of Frankfurt American High School in Germany at the time her parents relocated there. Moore began her career in the theatre. She furthered her education through Boston University, graduating in 1983 with a B.F.A. Thesis in Theater. Moore started her theater career off-Broadway and in New York, after she graduated. In 1985 Moore made her screen debut on The Edge of Night. In 1986 she was cast in the dual roles as Sabrina Hughes, and Frannie Hughes on the show As the World Spins. The role provided her with an opportunity that ultimately brought her to achievement. She stayed on this show from 1988 to 1990 and was honored with an Daytime Emmy Award. She made her film debut in 1990 with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie that she later described as a horrible low-budget movie. Short Cuts, both produced by Robert Altman (1993), and 3 Women, also productions from Altman (1997) were among her movies. For the former, she received several awards and critical acclaim. Moore was her first major part as a lead actress in Safe(1995). The casting of Steven Spielberg's Moore in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which is among the most successful films of 1997, marked a major change in Moore's career. She won the SAG award for her role in Magnolia. The Hours starred Moore in 2002, and was nominated for the nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. Moore was also in The Forgotten 2004, Freedomland, Shelter and Shelter 2010. Non-Stop was her 2014 film. Moore has appeared in numerous movies and television shows. Recently, she was featured as the lead character in You Finish Saving The World (2022). Her acting career in Hollywood has established itself, and she's also a published children's novelist. She published her first book Freckleface Strawberry in 2007 and became an N.Y.T. best-seller resulting in it being made into a series and a musical. Moore also published My Mom is Foreigner, an autobiography in 2013. Moore is known as a well-known writer and actress. In 1984, she got married to John Robin and in 1995 the couple divorced. Bart Freundlich and Moore had two children together. Moore is someone who takes pride in her career and family.
